If you are searching for a spa with a pool in NYC, WORLD SPA in Brooklyn offers several water experiences under one roof, including three Onsen pools, an 85°F Hydrotherapy Pool with high-pressure jets, and a 100°F Vitality Pool with a jacuzzi-style experience. Guests can also add cold-water and cold-air experiences, including a Cold Plunge and Snow Room, as part of a broader spa day.

For more background, see our guides to what Onsen pools are and hot-cold contrast therapy. Below are the pools at WORLD SPA and how to fit them into your day.

Which pools can guests explore?

The Vitality Pool at World Spa, Brooklyn

WORLD SPA’s pool area gives guests several temperatures and water experiences to move between. The three main pool experiences are the Onsen Pools, Hydrotherapy Pool and Vitality Pool.

Onsen Pools: 52°F, 101°F and 104°F. The Onsen area has three pools, maintained at 52°F, 101°F and 104°F. The different temperatures allow guests to move between cooler and warmer water as they explore the spa.

The 52°F pool provides the cold-water portion of the Onsen experience, while the 101°F and 104°F pools offer progressively warmer options. Guests can choose their own pace rather than treating the pools as a single soaking experience.

Hydrotherapy Pool: 85°F with high-pressure jets. The 85°F saltwater Hydrotherapy Pool combines warm water with high-pressure jets. Guests can float, move through the pool or position themselves near the water features for a more focused jet experience. Poolside chaise lounges and seating provide places to relax between dips.

The Hydrotherapy Pool is included with a WORLD SPA day pass. Guests are asked to shower before entering and after leaving the pool.

Vitality Pool: 100°F and jacuzzi-style. The 100°F Vitality Pool is WORLD SPA’s smaller, warmer pool and the closest match for guests looking for a jacuzzi or hot tub in NYC. It works as WORLD SPA’s jacuzzi, with jet features and a comfortably hot temperature.

It is a natural complement to the cooler Hydrotherapy Pool: guests can spend time in the warmer water, move to the cooler pool and relax between experiences.

Are there cold experiences too?

Yes. WORLD SPA has a Cold Plunge, maintained at 48–55°F, as well as a Snow Room, maintained at 14–32°F.

The Cold Plunge is a cold-water immersion experience, while the Snow Room provides a dry, cold-air environment. Guests looking to combine hot and cold experiences can incorporate either into their day.

For a broader look at how guests can move between heat and cold, see our hot-cold contrast therapy guide. For the full range of heat rooms and the spa circuit, visit the Saunas guide.

What is the pool etiquette?

WORLD SPA asks guests to shower before entering the pools. Guests are also asked to shower after using the Onsen, Hydrotherapy and Vitality pools.

Guests should bring a bathing suit. WORLD SPA provides robes and towels, and guests may bring clean indoor sandals.

WORLD SPA is an adult-only facility for guests 18 and older; 16-year-olds may visit with a parent or guardian (see our FAQ).

As with the rest of the spa, guests are asked to be considerate of others and keep noise and phone use under control. Food and beverages are not permitted in or around the pool areas.

Do pool hours differ from general WORLD SPA hours?

WORLD SPA does not publish separate pool hours. Spa hours are:

Sunday–Thursday: 10 AM–10 PM.

Friday–Saturday: 9 AM–11 PM.

Last call for saunas, pools and steam rooms comes before closing time, so check Hours & Directions for the current last call and plan your final pool session before it.

How do guests plan and book a pool day?

Pool access is part of WORLD SPA admission rather than a separate pool ticket. Regular admission provides access to the spa amenities, including the rooms, pools and saunas.

Regular weekday admission is from $99, before taxes, with unlimited access Monday through Friday; weekend and holiday access terms vary by date. Prices and access terms can change, so check our Day Spa guide or the WORLD SPA booking site before booking.

WORLD SPA is located at:

1571 McDonald Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11230

The F train to Avenue N stops right near the facility. On-site rooftop valet parking is $15 per visit; see Hours & Directions for details.

For reservations and current admission availability, use the WORLD SPA booking site or call 718-500-3772. The spa strongly recommends booking admission in advance and does not guarantee admission for walk-ins; see the FAQ for details.
